The Business Greenhouse's Founder and Director, Lynda Wookey, has reached the final of a UK-wide hunt to find the Top 100 Mumpreneurs in the country.
Nominated as an ‘Expert in her Field’ in the MumsClub Business Mum Awards 2012, Bristol based Lynda has been recognised for the hands on, practical, support she offers to people who need help to realise the plans and ambitions they hold for their business. Lynda now needs votes to win her a place in the Top 100 Mumpreneurs in the UK.
Already a busy Mum of three children now aged 8, 5, and 3, Lynda launched The Business Greenhouse last year when it became clear that many business owners were keen to develop their existing businesses, but did not have the time to put their plans into action.
“Business owners I knew talked of what they wanted to do with their businesses, and the ambitions they had for them, but they were so busy running their businesses that they lacked time to pursue their ideas. Frustrated, they wanted practical help rather than just advice, and The Business Greenhouse was born,” said Lynda.
“I was so flattered to be nominated, and incredibly honoured to make the final draw, especially when I’m up against so many equally hard-working, determined and ambitious women all juggling raising a family and being an entrepreneur.
“Please do vote for me. It would be great to show what business mums are capable of achieving,” Lynda added.
The Business Greenhouse has itself grown in the last year and now provides hands on help to locally, regionally and nationally focused microbusinesses and small businesses.
The annual MumsClub Business Mum Awards have been growing since their inaugural year in 2008. The Top 100 Mumpreneurs are sought across 10 different categories: The MumPreneur Champions, The Super Bloggers, The Social Media Queens, The High Profilers, The Online Businesses, The Experts in Their Field, The Mum-Inventors & Designers, The Grandmother- Mumpreneurs, The Media Moguls Media Savvy, and The Mums of Notable Recognition.
The voting takes place in Business Mum Week (1st-7thOctober), when there is an annual virtual tour of events.
